Collective Matter is a department of Artists’ Collective Gallery Trading Limited, a subsidiary of the charity Artists’ Collective Gallery Limited. All purchases made at Collective Matter directly support the charity and its ongoing projects.

All products displayed in this website are sold subject to our Terms and Conditions set out below. Nothing mentioned in these conditions affects your statutory rights.
ORDERS
Once you have successfully placed an order with us you will be sent a confirmation email that we have received the full details of your order successfully and that the order is now being processed. The confirmation email will state the products you have ordered, the total cost including VAT (where applicable) as well as postage and packaging costs and your chosen shipping address. Please check the confirmation email and notify us immediately of any errors by emailing shop@collective-edinburgh.art.
Your order represents an offer by you to purchase goods from us. If for any reason your order cannot be processed, a member of our team will contact you to explain the reason for this and offer an alternative if applicable.
When your order is accepted a follow-up email will then be sent once the goods have been dispatched to you. It is only at this point in time that we accept your offer, are bound to fulfill it and a contract is formed.
PAYMENT
Online payments are in Pounds Sterling.
Overseas customers may find their orders are subject to import duties and taxes, which may be levied once a delivery reaches its destination country. Collective Matter has no control over additional customs charges. These charges are to be paid and dealt with by the customer.
We accept payment via PayPal and Credit or Debit card via Shopify Pay. We are fully PCI DSS compliant.
All credit and charge card holders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to authorise payment to us, your order will not be accepted and we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery. If this happens we will contact you within 24 hours of you placing your order to notify of this.
CANCELLATION
If you wish to cancel your order you must notify us as soon as possible after placing the order. If you have already received an email confirming dispatch of your order it will not be possible to cancel your order. In this case it will be your responsibility to return the goods in their original condition and at your own expense in accordance with our returns policy.
RISK OF DAMAGE IN TRANSIT
We carry the risk of loss or damage to the products until you receive them. The products belong to you when you have received them and have paid us in full. If you return the products to us for any reason, they will become our property once they have been received and signed for by us and be at our risk from the time we receive them.
RETURNS
Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected if, for any reason, you wish to return a product bought from Collective Matter. Please see more information about our returns policy here.
ACCURACY OF INFORMATION
Every effort is made to ensure that all prices and product information within our site is accurate although discrepancies can occur on an occasional basis. We are not responsible if information made available on this site is not accurate, complete or current.
If a pricing error is discovered for the cost of goods already ordered, we will contact you to inform you of this discrepancy as soon as possible. At this point we will inform you of the accurate price and ask that you reconfirm your order at the correct price, also giving you the option to cancel the order. If we are unsuccessful in contacting you we will assume the order cancelled and issue a full refund to you via the original payment card used.
We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the colors and images of our products that appear at the store. We cannot guarantee that your computer monitor's display of any color will be accurate.
MODIFICATIONS TO PRODUCTS AND PRICES
Prices for our products are subject to change without notice.
We reserve the right at any time to modify or discontinue a product (or any part or content thereof) without notice at any time.
We shall not be liable to you or to any third-party for any modification, price change, suspension or discontinuance of the product.
We reserve the right, but are not obligated, to limit the sales of our products or services to any person, geographic region or jurisdiction. We may exercise this right on a case-by-case basis. We reserve the right to limit the quantities of any products or services that we offer. All descriptions of products or product pricing are subject to change at any time without notice, at the sole discretion of us. Any offer for any product or service made on this site is void where prohibited.
We do not guarantee that the quality of any products, services, information, or other material purchased or obtained by you will meet your expectations, or that any errors in the service will be corrected.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
No permission is given by Collective Matter in respect of the reproduction or use for injurious or commercial purposes of any brand names, product names, graphics, logos, icons, images, designs and any other material shown on the Collective Matter web shop in which intellectual property right subsist. You may not copy, modify, publish, transmit, transfer or sell, reproduce, create derivative works from, distribute, perform, display, or in any way exploit any of the content, in whole or in part. You may not use our name or logos or trademarks or any other content on any website of yours or that of any other person.
COPYRIGHT
Collective Matter editions and products are artworks specially commissioned by Collective. It is the participating artists’ expectation that artworks will not be purchased for resale and will be retained by you for your own personal enjoyment. Specifically, you may not sell or offer for sale the artwork on any internet based auction or other website.
Copyright of the Artworks remains the property of the Artist.
You may not produce any image of your purchased artworks and may not, at any time, publish or submit for publication or reproduction any image of the artworks to any third party, including any internet website for any purpose other than for personal use.
If you breach any of your obligations under this section you agree that:
(a) the payment of damages will not be a sufficient remedy to compensate us or the
artist for your breach;
(b) we may, and the artist may, apply to the court for an order to prevent you from
continuing to breach your obligations under these Terms and Conditions; and
(c) we may, and the artist may, contact the operator of any internet website on which the artworks is being offered for sale or on which an image of the artworks has been placed by you or at your direction, and instruct such operator, on your behalf, to remove any such offer for sale or image from any such internet website.
ACCURACY OF BILLING AND ACCOUNT INFORMATION
We reserve the right to refuse any order you place with us. We may, at our sole discretion, limit or cancel quantities purchased per person, per household or per order. These restrictions may include orders placed by or under the same customer account, the same credit card, and/or orders that use the same billing and/or shipping address. In the event that we make a change to or cancel an order, we may attempt to notify you by contacting the e-mail and/or billing address/phone number provided at the time the order was made. We reserve the right to limit or prohibit orders that, in our sole judgment, appear to be placed by dealers, resellers or distributors.
You agree to provide current, complete and accurate purchase and account information for all purchases made at our store. You agree to promptly update your account and other information, including your email address and credit card numbers and expiration dates, so that we can complete your transactions and contact you as needed.
PERSONAL INFORMATION
Your submission of personal information through the store is governed by our Privacy Policy. Any information you provide is treated in strict confidence and is stored in a secure location. Customer details will not be disclosed in any way to any persons outside of Artists’ Collective Gallery Trading Limited.
